Heading to the mall Saturday wasn't just for shopping and spending, but for safety and solutions.
The later were the lessons being taught at a family safety expo event at the Vernon Park Mall in Kinston Saturday. Moms, dads, kids and cool clowns were having fun learning many aspects of safe living. The Kinston Department of Public Safety and Safe Kids Coalition put on demonstrations about seatbelts, fire precautions, bicycle safety, poison controal at home and much more.
