Flu Shots Already in Area Centers

Flu season is right around the corner and health care workers are already prepared to give the flu shot to anyone who wants one.

The Pitt County Health Department just received their shipment of over 4,000 flu vaccination doses. On October 11th the department will host a clinic, and is urging anyone over the age of 65, those with chronic illnesses like diabetes, and healthy young children to get vaccinated.

That clinic begins on October 11th starting at 9 a.m. at the Pitt County Cooperative Exchange building, in the same office park complex as the health department.
