A former President of a country in East Africa was in Eastern Carolina Wednesday. Karl Offmann, former President of Mauritius is visiting Elizabeth City State University and sharing his thoughts on democracy and changes that are taking place in Africa. He's also clearing up misunderstandings people have about the continent. It's all part of "African Introspection" week at the university. All events at Elizabeth City State during African Introspection week are free and open to the public.
