Two More MRSA Cases Confirmed In Lenoir County Schools

Two more cases of a drug-resistant staph infection have been confirmed in Lenoir County.

The school system says a case of MRSA was confirmed at Kinston High School on Friday and another at Pink Hill Elementary last Tuesday.

This makes three cases in Lenior County schools, the system previously announced a case at Northwest Elementary School.

The school system says it sent letters home to all parents of the affected schools, and a telephone alert to other parents.

So far MRSA cases have been reported in Beaufort, Craven and Lenoir County schools this year.
