A new mayor takes office in Greenville in January and Tuesday the outgoing mayor gave his assessment of where things stand in the city.
Mayor Don Parrott gave his final state of the city address at a Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce luncheon. The mayor says the city is in good shape right now, but needs to continue to focus on managing growth.
Parrott also says maintaining the flow of federal money into city projects like the west Greenville revitalization and the Tenth Street connector need to be priorities.
