WITN Celebrates 49th Birthday!

WITN-7 signed on September 28, 1955 broadcasting the 1955 World Series. Engineers had to battle three hurricanes in the Fall of 1955 to get the station on the air. Soon, popular shows followed like "Teen Canteen" and the "Almanac with Dick Jones in the 1970's.

Today, WITN is Eastern Carolina's source for news, weather, sports and community events.
