Police Catch Sex Offender For Not Registering

Lawmen say Michael Hancock of Pitt County, has been on the run for more than a year. He's accused of not registering as a sex offender and then skipping town in July 2006.

Members of the Greenville office of the U.S. Marshal Service violent fugitive task force say they tracked Hancock from North Carolina to New york, then to San Bernadino, California. Officials say when they arrested Hancock, he told them he didn't think they would look for him in California. He's awaiting extradition back to our state.
