Energy Efficient Home Saves Big Bucks

It may look like any other house, but the secret is inside. Would you believe the utility bill for a 3,400 square foot home in Farmville is less than $100 per month?

Hussein Abaza is a professor of construction management at East Carolina University. He designed the house to be super energy efficient. He says low ceilings on the first floor, strategically placed windows and special insulation allow the house to use the least energy possible.

He also points out an energy efficient home can reduce the risk of mold growth.
