Currituck County Tops Increased Tourism Dollars In NE North Carolina

Currituck County is tops in increased tourism in northeast North Carolina. That from an annual tourism report released this week.

The county says during the 2006-2007 fiscal year it received a 9.9% increase in visitor spending compared to the year before. Spending in Dare County jumped 8.7% and 7.4% in Pasquotank County.

Statewide, North Carolina saw an 8.3% rise in tourism spending, compared to the national average of 7.7%.
