A Beaufort County business teamed up with the Department of Homeland Security to make our nation's waterways and ports safer.
Fountain Powerboats, along with a number of specialty boats, partnered with Global Defense Incorporated to take part in a boat seizure demonstration for local law enforcement on the Pamlico River Thursday. Pat Boykin, CEO of Global Defense Incorporated, says security at home is still a big issue, especially for our state.
Similar drills with Fountain and Global Defense will take place at international ports.
