Students Want Voting Place on Campus

Many East Carolina University students are asking if there will be a polling place on campus for students this November election.

The Pitt County Board of Elections says the answer is no. Director of Elections, Steve Hines, says not only do students largely fail to vote, but even if the request was made now, there wouldn't be enough time to get approval from the U.S. Department of Justice by Election Day. But there are other options, such as early voting and absentee voting.
