Franklin County Losing Hundred Of Jobs

Several hundred jobs will be lost when an electronics manufacturer closes its plant there over the next six months.

Ronnie Goswick with the Franklin County Economic Development Commission says Flextronics has had between 600 and 700 workers and is one of the county's largest employers.

Company spokeswoman Renee Brotherton says in a statement that the closing doesn't reflect the quality of work done by its employees in Youngsville.

The statement says Flextronics will do everything possible to help laid-off workers.
