Pitt County deputies didn't have to go far to find counterfeit goods being sold at the county fair. Deputies say the booth right next to theirs at the fairgrounds.

Authorities say they seized 60 Coach pocketbooks, 5 Coach wallets, 70 Chanel pocketbooks, 14 Prada pocketbooks, and 109 Dolcea & Gabbana pocketbooks--all fakes, according to lawmen.

The pocketbooks and purses are worth just over $138,000. Deputies charged Ziad Zahr of Glen Rock, New Jersey with a felony count of criminal use of a counterfeit trademark and he was also banned from the fairgrounds.

So far this year, deputies have seized more than a half million dollars in counterfeit merchandise in Pitt County.
