New Cameras In Greenville

Emergency firefighting cover - Operation Fresco

The fight against crime is going high tech in Greenville. Friday, the Greenville police department showed off their two new surveillance cameras stationed downtown.

Officials say each camera cost about five thousand dollars. One is set up at the corner of 5th and Evans street and the other is located near the corner of 4th and Cotanche, across from the Rumors night club. Greenville police say the cameras will help police assess street assaults and other crimes.
