Boil Water Advisory Lifted

Residents in the Carteret County town of Beaufort are free to turn on the faucet and take a big gulp of water once again. Friday, the North Carolina Division of Environmental Health issued the boil water notice after tests showed coliform bacteria in the water. However, Saturday, laboratory analysis, by the same division has lifted the advisory suggesting residents boil the drinking water.
