Jacksonville Getting Help To Run City

Jacksonville will once again have an assistant city manager to help run the city.

Seven years ago Jacksonville did away with two assistant city manager positions in a reorganization of city hall.

That changed last year, but the new position went unfilled for more than a year.

Now, Ron Massey, current assistant city manager for Corpus Christi, Texas will become Jacksonville's assistant city manager.

Massey was selected among 126 applicants. He starts November 5th at a salary of $111,000.
