NC Paratrooper Death

The military says a North Carolina-based paratrooper has died after his unit was attacked by small arms fire in Iraq.

Twenty-three-year-old Cpl. Anthony K. Bento, of San Diego, was
assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg. The 82nd says
his unit was on dismount patrol Monday in Bayji, Iraq, when it came
under attack.

Bento joined the Army in March 2005. He was a combat infantryman
with the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd
Brigade Combat Team.
