Eastern North Carolina Offers Help With Affordable Care Act

The deadline to apply for insurance through the Affordable Care Act is just four days away.

Two communities in the east are working to answer questions and help people enroll Thursday.

People in Washington can stop by the metropolitan Ame Zion Church 6-7 p.m. Thursday to discuss the Affordable Care Act.

Questions could also be answered at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, with an information session from 3-4 p.m.

Health care navigators will be at hand to help you enroll in a new health care plan and individual meetings are available.

March 31 is the deadline for consumers to enroll in a health insurance plan. Those without health insurance after March 31 might be subject to a fine.
