Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital Captain To Relinquish Command

A ceremony for a change of command among captains will be held at Camp Lejeune Friday.

The Naval Hospital Camp aboard the military base will be hosting the Change of Command ceremony at Wounded Warrior Pavilion in Jacksonville.

Capt. David A. Lane, commanding officer at the military hospital, will relinquish command to Capt. Rick Freedman.

Lane started NHCL commanding duties in June 2012. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1981.

Freedman's assignment before Camp Lejeune was executive officer at U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps.

The command will be passed 10 a.m. Friday.
