Bethel Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrests

Bethel Police say a traffic stop Saturday night led to the arrest of two people on drug charges.

Police say Miles Lovett, Jr. and Tracy Beckwith, both of Hamilton, are charged with cocaine and marijuana offenses after the drugs were found in their vehicle.

The stop happened around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Lewis & Main.

Lovett, who was driving the car, is being held under $51,000 bond at the Pitt County Detention Center. He was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

Beckwith's bond is $21,000.
