Raw sewage is gushing into a waterway in Hyde County, after a sewer line rupture.

State Water Quality officials say, the rupture happened on a sewer line near the Swan Quarter Bay in Hyde County. The spill is ongoing, officials, say, with 28,000 gallons of untreated sewage released so far.

Officials have posted a swimming advisory for Swan Quarter Bay, upstream of the Swan Quarter Ferry canal entrance, because of the waste in the water.

Who knew the sewer lines were leaking. The county didnt even know where the sewer lines are actually located. That why there was a spill, but the locals really couldnt smell the leak, cause it usually smells down the landing anyway.

Headlines "Raw Sewage Seeps Into Waterway", yet the article states "Raw sewage is gushing into waterway", which is it "seeping or gushing"? 22,000 gals is not seeping.
