High levels of bacteria are prompting environmental health officials to issue a swim advisory for waters in the east.
The sound side access at the East Main street and Tooley street intersection in Belhaven is where tests showed the bacteria level much higher than regulations would allow.
People should not swim or play in the water because it could increase your risk of gastrointestinal illness or skin infections.
Officials say this does not affect the entire Belhaven area.

Well, that is just great. Is all the water going to be infected this year? We're starting out on the wrong foot.
