The Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that if your child is riding their bike to school that they wear a helmet that meets the CPSC safety standard.

Avoid clothing like pullover jerseys that have drawstrings in them that could catch and strangle a child. Check with your school to make sure playground equipment is secure and safe.

And don't allow kids to ride ATV's to school in rural areas. More than 50 Million children in the U.S. are school bound this fall.
