House Approves Climate Change Bill

As I read the numbers, 8 pseudo Republicans voted for this faulty legislation. Many Democrats bailed off of the mothership Obama and voted against it. Folks, if this passes the Senate if will result in the LARGEST TAX increase in US history. It's just not labeled that way. Many businesses will have to close, many jobs will be lost, and it's based on a hoax. The EPA has suppressed a report that contradicts everything this bill is about. Who is making the EPA not issue their report. Are you tired of Thug Politics? Call your representative and most important, know how he/she voted.

Is big eared Dumbobama going to pay the gas tax on fuel for the Presidential motorcade and Air force One. It should come out of his salary, as should vomit faced Nancy Pukelosy's tax for the military aircraft she uses.

I an VERY surprised Shuler votes for this. I thought he was smarter than that. Butterfield probably has trouble finding the House Chamber so I know he has no idea what it even means. He is just a sheep that will vote however Obama wants him to. This is going to be a good thing. This will be another guarantee that we will see some major changes in 2010 and 2012 and all of this crap will be repealed.

If this bill is passed in the senate we will all suffer deeply.The democrats want to drive this country into a depression.All the Obama supporters should be first in the unemployment and soup lines when this economy erupts.

Yea, but the proponents will say we HAVE to do something! They have been led to believe that there is an actual problem, being the good sheeple that they are. Then the second thing; this country is going to make all of these drastic changes to "fix" the environment, yet many of the other countries will do nothing, causing the US to give up any of the competiveness that we had in the world economy. The documentary "The Obama Deception", which can be seen on u tube, was dead on. Everything in that documentary is happening. As for calling congress, I remember in the 90's the calls were 95% against NAFTA but they voted for it anyway, the calls were 95% against the patriot act but they voted for it anyway, the calls were 98% against the bankster takeover bill in October but they voted for it anyway. We have a clear pattern of TREASON!!! This is why I believe we will have a revolution; which is CLEARLY authorized under the DECLARATION of INDEPENDENCE. Google it and get back in touch with the spirit of our Founding Fathers.

Oil is at about $70 a barral, gas about $3.69 a gallon, it is said that oil will go up to about $200 a barral or more with this bill, that will make gas about $10 a gallon. People voted for change and this is the change you get from a president who said that under his administration you would not see any of your taxes go up, not a single dime. Over all energy taxes because of this bill will go up on average over $1,600 per person, think things are bad now, will also eliminate another 100,000 jobs per month. This is only after 5 months, I dread what is to come.

I was calling these idiots yesterday and I was told even though they were recieving ALOT of calls of opposition they were still going to vote for it. Goodbye America this is the nail in the coffin. Our only hope now is that congress stops this.

this bill will raise your taxes by 50%. It's a rip off when other countries won't do anything to reduce carbon dioxide. Government has gotten out of control

Well, it seems no one is defending our lawmakers here, why, because this is the most idiotic bill all of us have ever heard of. The only gleefull one is Al Gore and all the money he will make off this. Well, if you voted for the idiots on Devil dogss list of idiots, can them. With jobs being lost, they just insured the Chinese that they will be very busy, polluting, building things they cannot build here anymore. If you voted democrat this past election, it is your fault. Shame on you for not even looking at who was running. Now you are on the verge of a pink slip along with a lot more people coming. Energy will soar, gas prices may reach 6 dollars soon to coax you to buy a new government GM car, if you can afford one. The soup kitchens are coming for America, again. The following Congressmen from North Carolina voted FOR the bill...Butterfield,Etheridge,Miller,Price, Shuler,and Watt. Remember them when you vote next time. Pitt County has a 11% unemployment rate, and BUTTERFIELD voted to see it go higher. OUST him!!!

Well since I move oil for a living from refineries to power plants, I probably ought to look for a job. This is one job thats getting ready to disappear. Mr. Obma, where's that green job? I might need it. America cannot afford Obama and Pelosi. Next up, taxes on my medical insurance so I can pay for mine and someone else's who doesn't work for a living and has no ambition to get educated so they can get a good job. Oh well, I won't have a job and someone else will pay for my insurance. Guess I'll just take the rest of my life off and go on vacation.

This is a tax on everyone, not just those who make $250,000 or more, or whatever the administration has decided to call rich these day. This tax will kill this country, even though poor folks who thought that Obama was going to give them a free ride have got to be wondering what's going in this country. Our President tries to come across as a really nice guy, family man who is concerned about the downtrodden. In reality he is an egomaniac trying to force on others the policies he believes will give he and his cronies more power. This is a sad, sad time in the history of this country. We are now a Socialist nation, and the freedoms our forefathers fought for are being thrown away at the speed of light. I am truly angered to see this great country trashed like this.

Spain enacted the same legislation and now the unemployment rate is 18%. Jobs will be exported to India and China, and the prices of goods and services will rise in the US. Pain and suffering is on the way!!!

hey---If carbon dioxide is so bad for the environment, then why do plants suck it up and give us oxygen in return? Sounds to me that the worst thing for our climate is our fearless leaders sticking their noses into our lives with their asinine conjectures and theft of our liberties. Throw the bums out!

Melvin knows what time it is. Our criminal government is going to help us during this depression with higher costs for something that doesn't exist. Global cooling is what's going on now. This is the plan of the Rothchilds and Rockefellers; carbon tax paid to the new bank of the world, not used for U.S. programs. Just add this to the illegal revenue service and the illegal privately owned federal reserve. Stay tuned for the govt to control our food, water, and take away our guns, and forced deadly innoculations this fall.

If you look through histoy, these scares change about every 10 years. For 10 years its global warming and the next 10 its the return of the ice age. It is nothing but what Melvin said its nothing but a revenue stream. What about the cows producing methane gas. Why didn't the govt. address that issue instead of deciding to ignore it. It was in a post here just a few days ago! I really am starting to hate the liberals and their efforts to destroy this country at the citizens expense. "The Change" the "one" was referring to is the only thing we will have left in our pockets on payday the way he and his cronies are going.

The Democrats are hailing this tax increase as historic, well I guess it is historic because we here in NC are going to have to deal with an increase of 90% on our electric bills. The issue that is covered up here is if the Earth is in such peril of having glaciers melt completely, sea levels risings and humans roasting to death from the increased temp. then why all the Congressional deal making to get the votes to get this bill to pass? If Global Warming is as serious as Al Gore says it is, saving the Climate should be non-negotiable right? This just proves Many point that this bill is a complete farce of having anything to do with the climate but is all to do with creating a new massive revenue stream for the government.
