Report cards can tell a lot about a person or in this case... a beach.

Tuesday, the North Carolina Beach, Inlet and Waterway Association released its 2009 Report Card for our coast.

Overall, our beaches got a B- which is an upgrade from last years C+. This annual report card has been published since 2006. It's designed to provide information on past successes and future needs of our coast to the elected and appointed leaders of our state at all levels of government.

Yeah it would be great Oz, especially since I am wondering about how each individual NC beach rates. If I have to take a guess, I would guess that Ocracoke has the highest grade followed by Hatteras due to the fact of how clean the water is.
