Walt Disney Co.'s "Christmas Carol" train has rolled into a North Carolina station.
Visitors to the N.C. Transportation Museum in Spencer on Saturday can tour the train, which is part of the movie that opens Nov. 6 and stars Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge. The train opened Friday at the station and remains open for free visits from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
The train consists of two locomotives, an office car at the back and four cars in the middle. The train has the atmosphere of 1843, when the classic short novel was published and the movie is set
In the movie, actors are rigged out in suits that let computer technicians turn humans into animated characters. The third car in the "Carol" train shows in detail how this works.
