The Hyde County community of Engelhard invites you to take part in the 22nd annual Engelhard Seafood Festival May 15-16.

The Hyde County community of Engelhard invites you to take part in the 22nd annual Engelhard Seafood Festival May 15-16.
The fire department dinner kicks off the festival Friday night, followed by the Miss Engelhard Seafood Festival pageant.
Saturday's festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. Festival goers can hear a wide array of music, enjoy succulent seafood, a street dance, amusement rides, arts, crafts, historical displays and much more.

Born in Kings county NY. Raised in Hyde county NC. What a difference in cultures.Still trying to adjust.Left Hyde in 1965 went back to Brooklyn moved to Pitt county NC in 2002 Loving what both locations have taught me.I attend most of the Hyde county Sea Food Festivals and still Root for the NY Mets and NC Panthers among other teams. The annual Engelhard Seafood Festival is a fine, fine event and I would not miss it for the world. There is a good story about last year's events in the local Swan Quarterly http://www.SwanQuarterly.net - with photos. We all are people of Hyde County, and we are getting it right.

What I am saying is that if they are right about having lots of stuff going on that Englehard would be the place to be at, and since Englehard would be the place to be at, then there will be lots more ppl there. Englehard would get all the action and Swan Quarter would be a ghost town. Hyde County is one of the least populated counties in NC. When I think of Hyde County, I think of very little ppl, Fishing, Duck Hunting, and that it's basically the opposite of NYC, out in the open the outdoors.
