The big hit from the Spring is back for Autumn. WITN News at Sunrise wants to know "How Cool is Your School?"
In May, WITN News at Sunrise broadcast live from four area schools. They were Bogue Sound Elementary in Carteret County, Williamston Middle School in Martin County, Arendell Parrott Academy in Kinston and Greene Central High School.
Student, teachers and parents representing more than 100 schools wrote to WITN about their school on their blog. That's how our committee will select the schools once again.
Remember, creativity counts! The first school chosen in May, Bogue Sound Elementary, created a video and put it on YouTube, telling WITN why their school was so cool.
Williamston Middle School told us about their amazing healthy living programs. Parrott supporters entered an overwhelming number of entries, including one that promised a live performance of one grade performing the "Hoe Down Throw Down." We learned about Greene Central's award-winning marching band through an entry on the blog.
So let's hear it! Tell us how cool your school is, and we could soon be visiting you. Go to www.witn.com/blogs.
