The ECU football team will take on nationally ranked West Virginia Saturday at 4:30 in the home opener. The game will air live on ESPN2, the second consecutive nationally televised game for the pirates to start the 2008 season. Heading into the second game of the year seven of the Pirates 12 games had already been picked up locally, regionally or nationally and now you can add two more games to the list.

WITN-TV will air the East Carolina versus Memphis game at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Saturday October 18th. Game time is set for noon.

The Official Station of the Pirates will also broadcast East Carolina's November 22nd game at UAB live starting at seven o'clock. So far WITN will air three East Carolina football games this season beginning a week from Saturday as the pirates open conference play at Tulane. That game is set for 3pm.
