East Carolina football and men's basketball broadcasts will be moving to a new radio flagship beginning next fall as WNCT-FM becomes the Pirates' new primary home for the next three years according to an announcement made Thursday by ECU Director of Athletics Terry Holland, ISP Sports Vice-President Meghan Molnar and Brad Hood of the Beasley Broadcast Group.

WNCT-FM's powerful 100,000-watt signal will provide expanded coverage for ECU sports, extending to Raleigh (to the west), southern Virginia (to the north) and up and down the North Carolina coastline.

All ECU football and men's basketball games, along with weekly coaches' call-in shows, will be included in the programming on WNCT-FM.

ECU football action was carried this past fall on Beasley-owned WSFL-FM (106.5), while basketball is being aired on WNCT-AM , a strong 50,000-watt station which will continue to provide coverage of the Pirates' complete 56-game regular season baseball slate and any post-season competition.
