The father of a 15-year-old shooting victim says his son shot himself Tuesday and then told deputies someone else did it.

The father of a 15-year-old shooting victim says his son shot himself Tuesday and then told deputies someone else did it. The father tells WITN News that his family is embarrassed by the entire situation.
Onslow County deputies say the shooting happened at 518 Belgrade Swansboro Road, that's outside of Maysville.
Authorities at first said the 15-year-old was shot, but now say there were no penetrating wounds and the teen is doing just fine.
