Princeville's former town manager has turned himself in to lawmen, for probation violation.
Sam Knight used to be the town manager in the Edgecombe County town of Princeville. He pleaded guilty in September to 13 counts of obtaining property by false pretenses and one count of conspiracy to obtain by false pretenses. Knight was accused of illegally obtaining $25,000 from the town of Princeville. The Rocky Mount Telegram says an arrest warrant was issued for Knight on December 22, after he failed to pay back the money within 90 days. The paper says knight could face jail time now.

I lived in Tarboro many years ago. The people of Princeville were proud, hardworking people. Sad to say that as older residents die off, all communities get worse.
