The court date for a Greenville man accused of a stabbing another man on a city bus has been delayed until next year.
Twenty-six year-old Jonathan Strickland of Greenville was scheduled to appear in Pitt County court Tuesday morning. Pitt Community College police say Strickland stabbed Nelson Williams during a fight on the bus two weeks ago.
Williams survived the stabbing, which happened on a Greenville Area Transit bus while on the campus of Pitt Community College. Police say the two started fighting on the bus because of a previous dispute.
Court officials say Strickland's new court date is February 10th.

I was not aware we had a city bus in Greenville. If there is one, it certainly doesn't have enough stops around town to be convenient or useful. But I've lived in much larger cities so perhaps I've been spoiled.
