Attempted Robbery Suspect Arrested
Halifax County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested 19-year-old Aaron Eleyuwan Ashe of Roanoke Rapids for attempted robbery.

Halifax County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested 19-year-old Aaron Eleyuwan Ashe of Roanoke Rapids for attempted robbery.
Deputies responded to a report that someone had tried to rob the H.B. Mart, old Nana’s Quick Mart, at gunpoint as the employees were locking up. According to authorities Ashe demanded money from the employees several times, unsuccessfully, and then ran off with nothing.
Ashe is charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault by pointing a gun, and going armed to the terror of the people. His court date is set for January 20.
