Two Guilty Pleas In Football Player's Death
Derrick Barden, a standout linebacker for James Kenan High School, was gunned down in 2008.

Two of four men charged in the 2008 murder of a Duplin County football player have pleaded guilty.
Jordan Guy and Ivan Wallace have agreed to testify against the other two men as they stand trial for the shooting death of Derrick Barden. The James Kenan standout linebacker was killed on July 3rd at Stewart Creek Apartments in Warsaw. Authorities say he was sitting in a car talking to friends when he was shot.
Guy and Wallace pled guilty to accessory after the fact to second degree murder. They will be sentenced after they testify in the other cases.
Joleski Floyd is awaiting trial on first degree murder, while Devon Hobbs is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
