Man Charged In Halifax County Murder
Clyde Williams is in jail without bond on the murder charge.

A Roanoke Rapids man has been charged with a murder that happened last week in Halifax County.
Clyde Williams is in jail without bond on the murder charge. They say Christopher "Re-run" Ponton of Roanoke Rapids was shot at close range by Williams in a parking area of Ponton's home.
Deputies say the 28-year-old Williams was also shot during the fight and their investigation is continuing.
