A man in Beaufort County court this week left for a break...and never came back. Now he's a fugitive on the run.
Authorities are looking for Rondell Sanders. He was in court Wednesday for an armed robbery charge.
During his trial, a recess was taken and deputies say Sanders took off.
The trial continued without him on Thursday and the jury found him guilty.
"This is kind of rare, it has happened in the past. Anytime someone's out on bond, not in custody, they are free to go just like anyone else in the courtroom," said Captain Kenneth Watson.
Now Crimestoppers is offering a reward to anyone who has information that leads to Sanders apprehension.

Re:To Lavon at 1:51 PM. Magistrates are NOT appointed by the Clerk of Court. They are appointed by the Chief Superior Court Judge. Besides, at this point in the game, a judge has had the opportunity to set bail on this guy. Sounds like you are not a fan of our Clerk? I think he does a fine job. He has made alot of good changes since the old regime left. Barney Fife out back could learn a few things from him. I bet that MoonPie and PepsiCola are tasting good right now.
This person was not in custody and out on bond so he COULD NOT be handcuffed. This shows the Sheriff's know what their doing. So know what your typing about before you type it.
