He's been wanted since February on sex crime charges, now a man who avoided police by leaving the state is in custody.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office says it issued warrants in March for 56-year-old Kenneth Manning of Hyde County.

Authorities say manning is charged with first degree statutory rape, kidnapping and indecent liberties with a child.

The Sheriffs Office says the offenses happened in the Pinetown Area in February.

Manning was caught Sunday in Alabama when police nabbed him for driving under the influence.
