A marijuana growing operation has been found at a home in Beaufort County.

Jeremy McHargue of Hudson Farm Avenue is charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Inside the home on Highway 33 West, deputies say they found a small indoor marijuana grow operation that contained grow lights, an electrical timer and 19 small marijuana plants. At McHargue's home deputies say they found a small amount of marijuana, blue prints for Hydro grow and electrical grow lights.

The man's bond was set at $5,000.

I can NOT beleive MY tax money was wasted on this petty bust and I do mean petty. I'm sure the law enforcement needed an 18 wheeler to haul all the confiscation away. Why dosent the law go after REAL criminals, instead of wasting tax money on something so petty? I guess Beaufort county is in need of an over haul on law enforcement, you know? LIKE real CRIME fighters!

To: Whole Truth & Kelly: The "handicapped" man will be charged. As I said before, let law enforcement do their job. You both seem to know alot about the situation, but trust me, I know just as much as you do. The person you are refering to admits his wrong doing and is waiting to face the consequences. Don't assume there has been any "special" treatment. Check his criminal history and see what you find. GUARANTEE you it will not match that of Mr. McHargue. It is really disturbing that you all want to throw blame around and say that Mr. McHargue has changed his life, however he was in possession of pot. If you think Mr. McHargue has been wrongly accused, I will ask you again to do your homework. Ask him what lead to his arrest and what he did BEFORE the bust to contribute to the grow room. Enough said....figure it out!!!!! Both of these men are wrong!!!! Don't paint a pretty picture of Mr. McHargue and throw the other person under the bus!!!

The whole truth is right, Mr. McHargue has done alot in the past 10 years to change his life! He is a very good person and father! I want to know also why the man that lived in the house is not being mentioned? I guess because he is handicapped and is getting some kind of leniency that the rest of us dont get. God forbid they send the guilty man who is handicapped to jail. Guess they have to blame someone! I also want to know why Mr. McHargue was handcuffed and took to his house with only the possesion of less than a Quarter? BCSO needs to charge the real person that committed the crime instead of trying to make a good man look bad!
