The bail should have been a million. How many times before the police arrested this man has he been responsible for drugs on the street? The hell and torment that families go through because of drug use is horrific.I don't live in South America and could care less about a backward culture of "crack growers"Load up the old man in a plane and dump his rump right in the middle of the "indigenous coca" people of South America and he can chew or eat it,or suck it up his nose.If those people in South America are so concerned about making American dollars off crack addicts, let them keep them up on thier own continent.Crap with crack! It destroys people lives that aren't even addicted to it!

There is a huge difference between chewing coca leaves or drinking coca tea to alleviate respiratory distress, nosebleeds, pain, and give energy in super high altitude regions, and CRACK - which is not a paste... it's in rock form. The way substances are processed makes a tremendous difference in their chemical structure. You're right that the originating plant is part of a traditional culture, but the reason it's hard to stop the craze for it's demented offspring product in the U.S. is because people don't take responsibility for their own actions.
