It was day two of witness testimony in the trial of a former Camp Lejeune Marine accused of killing a Harlowe man.
Havelock police say Gary Hayes shot and killed Odell Foster back in April of 2008 outside the Bayside restaurant.
Witness testimony continued as district attorney Scott Thomas showed the jury the shotgun authorities say Foster was killed with.
Hayes is expected to testify that he killed Foster. But his attorney says it was in self defense and that he feared for his life.
