Two people are facing drug charges in two separate cases in Rocky Mounty.

George Perry was arrested just after 11:00 p.m. Friday at a home on Woodland Avenue.

Police say they found 2.33 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, $197.00, and a counterfeit $10 bill during the search of the home.

Perry was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of counterfeit money. Perry received a $2,000 bond and was transported to the Edgecombe County Jail.

Also just after 11:00 p.m. Friday, another drug arrest took place on D.S. Pearl Street.

Police went to the apartment to serve a warrant on 27-year-old Tronyale Daniel and ended up arresting 23-year-old Jessie Lynch.

Police say they smelled marijuana upon their arrival, so they got a search warrant.

Officers say they found 12.28 grams of cocaine and $360.

Lynch was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Warrants were obtained on Daniel for the same narcotics charges as well as maintaining a vehicle and maintaining a dwelling. Police say Daniels may be operating a Gray 1995 Cadillac Deville, NC Registration YWZ-9143 or a Green 1998 Honda Accord, NC Registration YWZ-9254.
