Howell Charged In Fatal Accident
A fatal wreck in Vanceboro has led to criminal charges against one of the drivers.

A fatal wreck has led to criminal charges against one of the drivers.
Twenty year-old Hailey Renee Howell is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle in the crash that killed 40 year-old Anthony Cox, Jr. on Highway 17 in Vanceboro in Craven County on October 13th.
Howell is also charged with driving left of center, failing to secure a passenger under age 16 and driving while her license was revoked. A 5 year-old in Howell's van was hospitalized after the crash but survived.

yes it wasnt the smartest thing this women did and she desevers whatever she gets but i know this little girl shes in the same class as my sons i was just talking to her today and we need to start thinking about the victims in the situation more then what and why it happened my heart goes out to the family of the driver in the other car and hope that 1 day the little angel (who is so brave) will fully recover and not have any scars (emotionally or physically)

RITA-I totally agree with you, what could a 20 year old have done to loose their license. Some people just need to get thier priorities straight and quit doing selfish things because they dont care about what people think. So they self distruct and dont care who they bring down with them. Even if it was an innocent 5 year old whose life is forever changed my the incident.

How about you just worry about yours. You have the information you wanted from WITN. If anything, this could be an invasion of privacy if they posted anymore. Why her license was revoked is none of your business apparently. That's whats wrong with you people these days is that you're so worried about who is doing what, and when, and where. Mind your own business, just be glad that WITN actually updated you on whats going on. I'm very glad that this girl's daughter is going to recover, and my condolences go to the Cox family.
