A Beaufort County man wants to know who set his hunting dog on fire. Tony Lewis Junior says his dog went missing last Monday from his friends house.

Jungle Cry, Lewis's dog, was found near Nevels Road Creek in Blounts Creek.

Lewis believes someone took some type of lighter fluid to ignite the skin on his seven year-old American Walker Fox Hound.

The dog did survive and was found hiding in a neighbors garage severely burned.

The dog would be put down at the suggestion of Lewis's veterinarian. On Jungle Cry's collar was a name and phone number according to Lewis.

"If Cry was a nuisance all they had to do was call and somebody would have come and picked her up. What they did to this dog is inhumane," said Lewis standing outside the garage where his dog was found.

Beaufort County Animal Control is investigating this case. If you have any information you are asked to call authorities. Their number is 252-946-4517.

I also don't understand how it is fair a convicted criminal gets to make millions a year for having fun when law abiding citizens have to suffer through tough time every day.

Just Saying, I am not sure being lumped with Alpha is a credit to my resume. I still cannot get over the visual of what probably happened to this dog. Comprehending how someone could be this mean reminds me of how Vick murdered his dogs that lost their fight. Then, thinking of an 8 year old dog, in its senior days....and how someone, could do this with conscience is beyond me.
