The effort to cut down on gun crimes will have Pitt County Sheriff's Deputies going door to door Thursday night.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office is taking Project Safe Neighborhood to Grimesland Thursday evening. The sheriff says the program's goal is to educate community members on the laws regarding gun possession and encourage them to report gun crimes.
