FIRST ON WITN: Man Charged With Rape Of Teen
Cornelius Sparks of Chocowinity has been charged with one count of statutory rape of a person who is 13, 14, or 15 years old.

A Beaufort County man has been charged on a sex crime involving a teenager.
Cornelius Sparks of Chocowinity has been charged with one count of statutory rape of a person who is 13, 14, or 15 years old.
Beaufort County deputies say on July 29th they received a report of an alleged sexual assault against a child. They say after an investigation and interviews they brought charges against Sparks.
The 23-year-old man turned himself in Thursday and was jailed under a $10,000 secured bond.

Why are you people wasting time fussing back and forth about something that is out of yall hands. I understand that he may be some of yall family, but the situation is bigger than what you can handle. If this cruel act is true then hey face the facts that he will serve time(I hope alot!),but if its not let God handle it....HE'S ABLE!!!!

even if it was consentual he's guilty.he's a grown man he know right from wrong the fact of the matter is there has to be evidence of rape to call it rape.just because he has a bond doesn't mean anything that doesn't help the case you can get a bond for manslaughter.i wouldn't call this a mistake,i call it lack of thought.i see cases like this all the time.to the young lady who says she's his girlfriend,almost a year is not enough time to know a person and what they are capable of doing.the fact of the matter is:EVIDENCE!they looking at the fact that he slept with someone underage who thinks as a child LEGALLY and by him suppose to be older and wiser he took advantage of that so the title for that is:statutory rape

It doesnt matter if she said yes or no....SHES UNDERAGE. ASK FOR ID. good lord i hate to say it but he set himself up for this one. wrong place wrong time, no matter his character...or if hes a father, he was alone with an underage girl long enough for people to think something happened...wrong decision!!! think before you put yourself in that situation. But terry is a nice guy, And i hope him the best, these things about him being a father shouldnt even matter. Hes a grown man that lives his life how he wants to. The fact is he had sex with an underage girl that he pissed off. think about all the guys you know thats say 18 dating a 15 yr old. not a large differance but still illegal. so stop judging!!!! He simply made a mistake, if in fact he did. But we will all have to wait and see. GOOD LUCK terry!!!
