Second Suspect Caught In Riding Lawnmower Case Out Of Halifax
James Hall Jr. is now the second person arrested for stealing a riding lawnmower in November of 2007.

A man is accused of steeling a riding lawnmower nearly two years ago has been caught.

The Halifax County Sheriff's office says James Hall Jr. is now the second person arrested for stealing a riding lawnmower in November of 2007 and a four-wheeler from a residence on Piney Grove Road in Littleton.

Lawmen first arrested Solomon Johnston last month in connection with the thefts now Hall.

Hall is facing several charges and is expected to be in court to face them in September.

Here is the news release from the Sheriff's Office:

On November 10, 2007 Deputy’s from the Halifax County Sheriff’s Offices responded to a residence on Piney Grove Church Road in Littleton in reference to a riding lawnmower and a four-wheeler being stolen from the property. On August 15, 2009 Detective Tyree Davis of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office made the second arrest (first arrest was Solomon “Wilson” Thomas Johnston, black male, Lincoln Heights area of Roanoke Rapids on July 08, 2009) on this case when he arrested James “Lou” Edward Hall Jr. (22 year old, Black male, Grant Drive area of Roanoke Rapids) in connection with the larceny’s from the property. Detective Davis charged Hall with one count of felony larceny of motor vehicle, and one count of misdemeanor larceny. He was given a $5000.00 bond and his court date is set for September 23, 2009. The riding lawnmower was recovered in this case
