UPDATED: Greenville Police Bust Convenience Stores
Police say Thursday morning's bust was the culmination of a six month investigation.

A six month investigation in Greenville resulted in a Thursday morning raid of four convenience stores. Eight were arrested.
Greenville Police brought in convenience store owners and managers from the Pitt Stop, Greenville One and Two Stop, and Superfresh Stores. All are local businesses situated in neighborhoods that are notorious for crime.
Officers say state and federal agents confiscated stolen goods and have investigated the misuse of Welfare or EBT cards.
Greenville Police Chief, William Anderson, says these shops were a hub for criminal activity that the owners perpetrated.
This effort by local, state and federal agents netted over 167 thousand dollar worth of merchandise and government funds.

Greenville Police say they have arrested seven people as the result of a six month investigation into the sale of illegal goods. The dubbed the investigation "Operation Inconvenience."
Greenville Police spokesperson Kip Gaskins says the investigation focused on four convenience stores in Greenville. Some of the illegal goods included things that had been stolen and food stamp cards.
The FBI, SBI and Greenville Police are on the scene.
The following stores were raided: Pit Stop One at 425 Hooker Rd.; Greenville Stop One, 514 Wautaga Ave.; Greenville Stop Two, 1006 Bancroft Ave.; and Superfresh at 1401 Dickinson Ave.

i drive down dickinson a few times a week. as i drove by yesterday and noticed that the "superfresh" store was boarded up, inside i was saying "ha!!! gotcha!!!" FINALLY after all these years, GPD notices that illegal activity is taking place there. it is about time!!! i think that the one behind j h rose should have been closed up a long time ago...it draws a bad crowd near a school. and by the way, YES, store owners can do something about people hanging outside of a business--it is called "call the police"--not a hard concept to grasp people!!!!
