A driver pulled over in Washington, Beaufort County for a registration violation turned out to be wanted on statutory rape and second degree kidnapping of a juvenile.

Washington police say they stopped the vehicle driven by 33 year-old Jeral Thomas Ore Jr. of VOA road early Sunday morning.

Police determined he was driving with a revoked license and later determined he was wanted in Durham County on the sex charges.

He's in the Beaufort County Jail under $75,000 bond.
