The Onslow County Sheriff's Office says two men were caught in the act of breaking into Yopp's Tires in Sneads Ferry.

Officials say several fishermen observed the break-in around 12:30 a.m. Saturday and grew suspicious when they saw one of the suspects walking around in the fenced area of the business.

Officials say fishermen called the sheriff's office and "maintained custody" of Elvertis Frazier and Clifford Farmer until deputies arrived on scene.

Frazier, age 42 of Sneads Ferry, and Farmer, age 35 of Sneads Ferry, each faces multiple counts including breaking and entering and drug charges.

Way to go fisherman! Getting involved in your community and stopping low life criminals...More communities could learn a valuable lesson from you. I am glad you were not part of the "I ain't seen nothing" crowd.
